Chance Review

Disney & Pixar's did excellent animation on this movie. Bringing life & character to cars making each one unique & colorful. They made an excellent movie for children, that parents every where will love. Though the story is drawn out, & can lose younger childrens interest in parts, it does pick up in the end. The character of Tow Mater played by Larry the Cable Guy steals the show. It fails, in some places, but over all its a great movie for children b/w the ages of 4-8 years old.

Fate brings a childless couple a bundle of joy,who happens to have a criminal record, in this comedy directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans. Calvin Simms (Marlon Wayans) is a master criminal who with the help of his friend and sidekick, Percy (Tracy Morgan), plans a daring robbery of a museum where one of the world's largest diamonds is on display. One of reasons Calvin is able to get inside secure areas is his size, Calvin is dwarf who stands less than two feet tall, and can slip in unnoticed where more conventionally sized people would not. While Calvin is able to get the diamond, he's nearly caught by the police while making his getaway, and stashes the jewel in a bag carried by a passerby. Eager to recover the diamond from the unwitting accomplice, Calvin and Percy figure out a way to get into his house, they dress Calvin up as a baby, and leave him on the doorstep of the passerbys home. As it happens, the couple who live there (Shawn Wayans and Kerry Washington) have been wanting to have a baby, and they eagerly take the new arrival under their wing, embracing the joys of parenthood while ignoring some of the toddler's unusual behavior.

If you liked White Chicks, then you'll love Little Man. The Wayan Brothers outdid themselves with this one, the laughs don't stop. If your looking for a good laugh rent or buy this one. I recomend parents watch this one first though, & decide if you want your children to see it.

From the begining, to the end this movie is a very good date/chick movie. It has some of the usual relationship movie humor, such as blue-collar meets white. But overall it's a good movie, & I recomend it. Plus, I enjoyed the addition of Vincent D'Onofrio as an older brother of Vaughn's character, he's an added gem that makes this movie enjoyable.

Movies I always watch if they're on TV, even if I've seen it 100's of times.

For some reason unknown to me, certain movies if there on TV & I come across them while channel surfing I have to watch & won't change the channel till it's over. It doesn't matter how many times I've watched it or when I watched it last.

What draws me to the movie, to watch it for the hundredth time. It's not like all of a sudden they're going to change the ending. Who knows, but everyone has that movie they've watched a hundred times & will watch it another.

For me the movie is Braveheart, I've seen it over & over again & still enjoy watching each & every time. Another one that I've watched over & over again is Forest Gump, not greatest movie ever made, but it probably has the best soundtrack ever made. It's the only soundtrack to a movie that I've ever bought & probably ever will.

Brown's offspring are a singularly ill-mannered lot who have managed to drive away 17 different nannies when their father arranges for one Nanny McPhee to help out with the children. McPhee is an strange looking woman with a large nose, protruding teeth, and pock-marked skin, but it isn't long before the kids realize she has magical powers and isn't afraid to use them to help keep them in line. While the children aren't taken with McPhee's insistence on such things as saying "please" and listening to their elders, it becomes clear everyone has bigger things to worry about. Aunt Adelaide has insisted that if Mr. Brown cannot find a new wife within a month, she'll take custody of one of the children and cut off Brown's inheritance, and while Brown and the widow Mrs. Quickly seem fond of one another, his ineptitude in courtship seems to insure he'll never get her to the altar. But while the Brown Children realize Nanny McPhee is a formidable opponent, she can also be a valuable ally as they learn to make use of her talents by being better children; they also discover that as they behave better, she begins to look less frightening.

"Flyboys," the first World War I aviation film in over 40 years, is inspired by the epic, courageous tale of the American young men who would become known as the legendary Lafayette Escadrille. They were ordinary boys who volunteered for the first World War looking for adventure, and in the process, they became heroes. Never before has a movie so accurately portrayed the thrill and danger of the aerial dogfights that played such an integral role in the Allied resistance.

In 1917, prior to the official entry into the war by the United States, the Allied powers of France, England and Italy were on the ropes against the German juggernaut. Some altruistic young Americans volunteered to fight alongside their counterparts in France. Some joined the infantry, others chose the Ambulance Corps. But 38 young men had a different idea: they decided to learn how to fly.

Their motivations for enlisting may have been different: Blaine Rawlings (James Franco) is searching for his purpose following the bank's foreclosure of his family ranch, Briggs Lowry (Tyler Labine) is shamed into joining by his disciplinarian father, while African-American expatriate boxer Eugene Skinner (Abdul Salis) vows to repay his debt to his adopted, racially-tolerant country. But under the command of French Captain Thenault (Jean Reno) and the leadership of American veteran Reed Cassidy (Martin Henderson), these young American men took to the air with honor everyday as they risked their lives, not just in facing the formidable German aggressors, but also in boarding their newly-invented, mechanically-imperfect aircraft, which were being used in combat for the first time.

A very good movie that did justice to the classic beloved series by C.S. Lewis. As usual the book was still better than the movie, but this was a great attempt. My children enjoyed this movie alot.. I highly recomend it.

A man who lives for pleasure finds his hedonism betrays him in time in this film adaptation of the play by Stephen Jeffreys. The second Earl of Rochester, John Wilmot, was a notorious figure in 17th century Europe; well-respected as a poet and author, Wilmot also earned no small degree of gossip for his freewheeling sex life and appetite for decadence. Wilmot was close friends with Charles II the powerful and Machiavellian ruler of England, and enjoyed a passionate romance with Elizabeth Barry an actress of note. But Wilmot's seemingly charmed life took a turn for the worse when he wrote a satirical play lampooning his friend Charles II; the monarch failed to see the humor, and exiled the author from Britain. Wilmot found little solace in his relationship with Barry, especially after he contracted syphilis and began drinking heavily as the disease tore away at his body and his mind.

However, somehow the astoundingly clumsy but consistently lucky Inspector Jacques Clouseau gets the assignment instead, and with his assistant, Gendarme Gilbert Ponton in tow, Clouseau follows a dizzying trail of clues from Paris to New York City as he attempts to recover the rare diamond and find the villains who killed Gulant.

I was hesitant about the remake of this great comedy classic, how could anyone replace Peter Sellers as Clouseau? Well if anyone could do a better a job than Steve Martin, I would highly doubt it. A Officer & A Gentleman meets Rocky, it tries to be, but fails in delivering a believable plot. This is supposed to be inspiring and a glimpse of our brave men and women, it fails on so many levels. No self respecting military officer would behave in those pathetic ways. You have to sacrifice and struggle. Insubordination, defying direct orders, inappropriate contact, lying, and oh so much more. Not a single character deserved to be in that school.

A chance meeting between two middle-aged men leads one into a life of crime in this offbeat comedy. Danny, an American businessman whose life has been going through a sour patch after he and his wife, Carolyn, lost their young son. During a business trip to Mexico City, Danny strikes up a conversation in a hotel bar with fellow out-of-towner Julian Noble, and while Julian's loud and brassy manner initially puts Danny off, in time the two become friends, and Julian feels comfortable enough with Danny to tell him what he does for a living. It seems Julian is a hired killer working under the auspices of underworld kingpins Lovell and Mr. Randy, and Julian tries to persuade Danny to help him with his latest assignment. Danny refuses, but a few months later a distraught Julian appears unannounced on Danny's doorstep. It seems Julian has blown his two most recent assignments due to a variety of psychosomatic illnesses, and now Lovell and Mr. Randy want him dead. Julian has also done something to put Danny in his debt, and the previously non-criminal businessman is forced to help his friend stage a hit, with Julian's presence in his home upsetting the precarious balance of Danny and Carolyn's marriage.

Pierce Bronson did anexcellent job, his character made the whole movie. He played an anti-James Bond, his character is a drunk, selfish, immoral, lout. Making a shockingly good, bizarre buddy movie, a set-up is as improbable yet believable as you could want, due to the great chemistry between Brosnan and Kinnear, but the most interesting thing about THE MATADOR is that, yes, it's amoral & disturbing, but because it deals with friendship, death and the possibility of change & growth, it offers much more than your typical black comedy.

One day they stop by a softball field at a local park and a bunch of kids practicing for Little League tryouts try to heckle them into going home. They challenge the kids to a game -- three against nine -- and miraculously don't entirely humiliate themselves.

A man is forced to go against his family and his principles in the name of serving his country in this drama inspired by actual events. Tommy Santoro (James Marsden) was just a boy when his father was murdered, and young Tommy quickly discovered his dad was a high-ranking member of the Philadelphia Mafia. Tommy grew up determined to stay on the right side of the law, but his brother Vincent (Brad Renfro) and cousin Joey (Giovanni Ribisi) had other ideas and ended up joining "the family business." Tommy enlisted in the Army and served in Operation Desert Storm, but when he impulsively stole a jeep, he was arrested by the military police. However, Tommy finds he's not questioned by MP's, but by Horvath (Brian Dennehy), an FBI agent who knows all about his past and family history. Horvath has learned that Sicilian mobsters have been taking over the Philly rackets, and persuades Tommy to join up with Vincent and Joey in order to infiltrate the Mafia and serve as an informant to the FBI. Tommy grudgingly agrees, but he's uneasy about betraying his family and following the path that killed his father -- especially when he discovers his actions have put Vincent and Joey in grave danger.

The story seems familiar & tries to resembles some of the great mob movies. It only achieves in being second rate. The main characters lack charisma, its filled with too many standard mob movie clichés and a lot of one-note characters. Bringing to life one of the oldest epic poems in the English language was sure to be a difficult challenge. The director delivers incredible landscapes shots that capture both the beauty & bleakness of nature. The writer has skillfully expands the story to a featured length, though always being faithful to the source material. Though violent & bloody, filled with superstions & beliefs from that era, the movie is excellent. The hero is gallant, brave, & courageous with a heart, who completes his task & it becomes a super heroic deed with numerous embellished tellings.

The scenery, battle scenes, and bit of Greek history lesson make this movie worth watching. The movies is good, but it could've been a great epic, equal to Braveheart or Gladiator. There were too many characters to get to know, so they were all underdeveloped to the point where you didn't care one way or the other what happens to them. If they would've spent more time developing Achilles or Hector, making either one of them bad or good, instead of trying to show both traits in each of them. Despite that it does entertaining moments with some good battles scenes & sword fighting.

Family Section: All 3 of my kids enjoyed the movie, the youngest got a little restless at first, but once Tim Allen turned into the Shaggy Dog & the hijinks started he was fine.
